Affiliate disclosure
Kinetrixa carries paid links. This page explains which links are paid, who pays for them, what the payment buys, and what it does not buy. It is written to be read in full rather than skimmed, and it is linked from the footer of every page.
The arrangement, in plain terms
Kinetrixa is published by HUSKY GATE s.r.o. and is funded by one affiliate arrangement. One product is covered in detail on this site — World of Tanks — and the links pointing to its registration page are affiliate links.
When a reader follows one of those links and then creates and activates a game account, an advertising network records that action and pays HUSKY GATE s.r.o. a commission for it. The commission is paid by the network out of the advertiser's marketing budget. It is not added to anything the reader pays, and the game account itself is free to create.
The paid action is registration alone. Kinetrixa is not paid according to how long anyone plays, and is not paid a share of anything bought inside the game. That is a small detail with a large consequence: this site has no financial interest in whether a reader spends money in a game store, which is why the costs page can be direct about in-game spending.
Which links are affiliate links
Every affiliate link on this site is a link to the advertising network address
price-low.eu, which forwards to the game's own registration
page. Each one is marked in two ways: it is styled as a button, and it carries a short
labelled note directly beside it saying that it is a paid link and what happens if it is
followed. In the page's HTML, each is marked
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener", which is the standard way of telling search
engines that a link is a paid placement.
Every other outbound link on Kinetrixa is unpaid. That includes all links to Australian government bodies — the ACCC, Scamwatch, the eSafety Commissioner, the Australian Cyber Security Centre, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and the Australian Classification Board. Nobody pays for those, and nobody is asked to.
There are no paid links hidden in body text, no links that change destination when clicked, and no redirects through this domain. A link's destination is visible in the browser's status bar before it is followed, which is deliberate.
What the commission does not influence
- It does not influence the text. Nobody outside HUSKY GATE s.r.o. sees a page on this site before it is published, and the advertiser has no right of review, approval or amendment.
- It does not influence the order of coverage. Pages are ordered by the sequence in which a reader meets the problems — machine, account, cost, security — and the commission is identical regardless of which page a reader arrives on.
- It does not create an endorsement. Kinetrixa does not claim the product covered here is the best of anything, and this site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by its publisher.
- It does not change any price. Following an affiliate link costs nothing, and prices inside the game are set by the game's publisher and are the same whichever route a reader took.
What does determine coverage
Being honest about the influence means being honest about the scope. The reason World of Tanks is the product covered on this site is the commercial relationship described above. This is not a survey of the free-to-play market, and there is no scoring method behind the choice, because there was no comparison — there is one advertiser.
What is not determined by the advertiser is everything else: which checks a page recommends, what the pages say about in-game spending and randomised purchases, which government sources are cited, and the decision to state plainly where the advertiser's own listing gives no answer. That last point is set out at length on the overview page, which is mostly a list of questions the advertiser's material does not address. The editorial method in full is on the About page.
Why this is disclosed three times
A disclosure that a reader has to look for is not much of a disclosure. So the same information appears in three places: in a box in the upper part of the homepage, above the first paid link; in a labelled note immediately beside every paid link, on every page that carries one; and here, in full. The wording differs because each place has a different amount of room, but the substance is the same in all three.
Reader information
Following an affiliate link takes you to a third party, and what happens on that third party's site is governed by its own privacy terms rather than by Kinetrixa's. This site sets no cookies, runs no tracking and passes no information about you to the network — the network attributes the referral itself, after you leave. What Kinetrixa does and does not hold is described in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
